Hydrolysed collagen is more bioavailable. Hydrolysis involves treatment of the collagen with waterborne enzymes to break the molecules into shorter chains that are more easily taken up by the body. This makes the collagen quicker to digest and faster to take effect.
Type 1 collagen is used for both the repair of damaged tissue and the formation of new tissue.
Collagen provides essential amino acids for the repair and recovery of muscle, and joint protection, rebuilding tissues (ligaments, tendons and bones). It may also play a part in weight management as a source of dietary protein, promoting a feeling of fullness for appetite control.
Directions For Use
Add 5g of powder (one heaped teaspoon) to 250ml of water or juice, mix well. Consume once or twice per day.
To ensure optimum digestion and absorption of amino acids, consume collagen powder on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before a meal.
