Ashwagandha is a prominent herb in traditional Ayurvedic medicine. It is a versatile yellow flowered oval leaved herb traditionally grown in India, Africa and the middle east. Ashwagandha is a relative of the tomato and produces small red fruits. The root of the plant has a history of use as a rejuvenating tonic and is said to enhance vitality and overall well-being. The root’s bioactive compounds, including withanolides, contribute to its potential health benefits. Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb which means that it can help the body to adapt, adjust and recalibrate itself depending on our emotional and physical surroundings bringing the body into a normal state of homoeostasis and health

Our herbal tinctures are entirely alcohol & glycerin free. Our tinctures extract the supportive properties of whole plants, herbs, flowers and barks using Devon cider apple vinegar with the ‘Mother’. We believe it is vital for our concentrated herbal tinctures to be 100% natural, additive, and preservative free, which is why we do not use alcohol or vegetable glycerine, both of which are commonly used in tinctures

We use glass bottles and paper labels. Glass does not leach harmful chemicals. For ultimate purity of a health product, it can only be packed in glass. When glass is recycled, it is crushed and incinerated, so we use paper labels. They are not harmful when burnt, however plastic labels when burnt produce super pollutants called dioxins. Our products are never tested on animals.

Our tinctures contain only whole herb material, never powdered. Our tinctures are steeped in Devon Cider Apple Vinegar with ‘The Mother’ for a minimum of 2 months. They are shaken daily to ensure maximum liberation of beneficial substances

To avoid unnatural additives, we use Devon Cider Apple Vinegar with ‘The Mother’ as the carrier in our tinctures

Our Apple Cider Vinegar is made by local Devon farmers without pesticides or chemicals, and is unpasteurised, unfiltered and undiluted. It contains the ‘Mother’ – the healthiest part of the cider vinegar. It is essentially a probiotic, as it is a collective of bacterium containing many strains of beneficial bacteria

The Cider Apple Vinegar also acts as natural preservative, so the product is efficacious for up to 2 years

All equipment used for making our tinctures is sterilised stainless steel or glass, and our extract is bottled into freshly steam sterilised, UV resistant pharmaceutical grade glass bottles

Shake well before use. Add two full pipettes (2ml) and dilute in water, or add to food. Do this 1-3 times a day at any time (amounts to 40-120 drops/2-6ml per day)

2ml of tincture contains 200mg of herb extract

We only use paper and card for our shipping – no bubble wrap, no plastic tape, no packing peanuts! All of our packaging is recyclable from home, degradable or reusable
