We founded Vegavero in 2014 in Berlin based on the idea to offer high-quality nutritional supplements at fair prices. At that time, we had become very interested in the topics of health, well-being, nutrition and exercise. We came to learn that the quality of products we were looking for just weren’t available. NOT A COMMON CORDYCEPS POWDER SUPPLEMENT: OUR CORDYCEPS CS-4 EXTRACT

Our product does not contain an ordinary Cordyceps powder but a highly dosed CS-4 extract (10:1). Thanks to the high extract ratio, we can put the equivalent of 6500 mg dried Cordyceps into one capsule. Our extract is derived from the mycelium which is obtained through fermentation and not through mummification of insect larvae. Hence, our product is completely vegan. Also, this form of production offers the possibility of standardization to bioactive compounds that are enriched in the mushroom’s mycelium.

Cordyceps is one of the best-known medicinal mushrooms. It has been an integral part of Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 2000 years. The underlying reason is certainly the high concentration of valuable bioactive ingredients, including polysaccharides – which is why we chose an extract that is standardized to 40% polysaccharides. Our Cordyceps CS-4 comes from China, where the tradition around the medicinal mushrooms was born.

EXTRACT VS POWDER

While others use powders, our product contains an extract, intensifying the concentration of bioactive substances that are beneficial for your health. This not only boosts effectiveness but also allows us to fit more into each capsule.

To determine the content of a capsule, multiply the extract amount in milligrams by its concentration ratio. For example, in a 15:1 extract, you would multiply 15 by the amount of extract in mg listed on the label. This calculation provides you with the plant power equivalent.

In our Cordyceps we have 650mg of a 10:1 extract, corresponding to 6500mg of pure cordyceps per capsule.

We recommend taking the product preferably in the morning on an empty stomach with plenty of water.The first documentation of the use of Cordyceps in Chinese folk medicine dates back to 1760 BC. However, Cordyceps only became famous in 1993, during the Chinese National Games in Beijing where several Chinese runners broke track and field records. These records remained unbeaten for 23 years and their coach claimed that his team’s success was due to a tonic that included C. sinensis: This preparation passed the dope analysis so the use of this unknown fungus began to spread around the world.
