ORGANIC QUALITY FROM SOUTH AFRICA’S SAVANNAH

Devil’s claw grows in South Africa’s Kalahari Desert and in the savannahs of Namibia. Due to the severe drought, the valuable phytonutrients are found in the deep roots in the earth. That is why we use devil’s claw roots (Harpagophytum procumbens) from controlled organic cultivation in South Africa for our product.

Instead of a simple powder, we also use a highly concentrated organic devil’s claw extract (3:1), which is extracted from the roots in France using gentle water extraction. The advantage of an extract is, among other things, the high concentration of valuable secondary plant substances, above all harpagoside, a bitter substance with anti-inflammatory properties. Our organic devil’s claw extract has a standardisation of at least 2.7% harpagoside.

The name “harpagoside” has an interesting origin. It is derived from the Greek word “harpagos,” which means “hook” or “grappling hook,” due to the plant’s unique fruit structure resembling a hook-like appendage, and it is the bioactive compound of Devils Claw plant.

✅ HIGHLY DOSED BIO-EXTRACT: We use a highly concentrated devil’s claw extract in a ratio of 3:1 for our knee joint supplement – and ORGANIC! A daily portion of 1665 mg extract corresponds to 4,995 mg organic devil claw powder. The advantage of an extract is not only the larger amount of devil’s claw per capsule, but also the higher concentration of valuable secondary plant substances, above all harpagoside.
🔎 2.7% HARPAGOSIDE: The most important active ingredient in devil’s claw roots (Harpagophytum procumbens) is harpagoside – a valuable bitter substance that is said to have anti-inflammatory properties. Usually anti inflammatory supplements are used for joint care and hip joint pain relief. Our organic devil’s claw extract has a standardisation of at least 2.7% harpagoside, which corresponds to 45 mg per daily ration.
