We founded Vegavero in 2014 in Berlin based on the idea to offer high-quality nutritional supplements at fair prices. At that time, we had become very interested in the topics of health, well-being, nutrition and exercise. We came to learn that the quality of products we were looking for just weren’t available. PREMIUM SAFFRON EXTRACT FROM SPAIN

Saffron is obtained from the flowers of the crocus species Crocus sativus. It is not only the laborious harvest by hand once a year that justifies the exclusivity of this raw material- each flower also produces only around three saffron threads. We use a patented raw material from the region of Castilla-La Mancha in Spain. The delicate saffron threads are dried directly after harvesting and gently processed to an extract. Due to its value, saffron is often counterfeited by adding turmeric or stained corn silk, for example. Therefore, we have the authenticity of our saffron validated by DNA analysis. Additionally, our product is regularly tested* for microbial contamination, as well as heavy metal residues. Saffron contains various carotenoids, including crocin, picrocrocin, and safranal. Our extract is standardised to at least 3.5% of these valuable substances, making our product unique on the market.

🔎 STANDARDISED SAFFRON EXTRACT: Our saffron extract capsules contain a highly concentrated extract standardised to at least 3,5% lepticrosalides (crocin and safranal). The saffron powder extract contains extract amounts of saffron 30 mg and 1,05 mg of leptricosalides per daily dosage. Thanks to its 3:1 extraction ratio, this is equivalent to 90 mg of saffron before extraction.
